Ætli hún hafi orðið fyrir slíkri meðferð?

Allan þann tíma sem ég var í Dhaka gaf ég aðeins einum betlara pening. Það var þessi stúlka: 

 

 Hún bjó í strigapokatjöldunum við lestarteinana sem sjást í bakgrunni. Ég hitti hana á hverjum morgni þegar ég stytti mér leið þarna yfir til að komast í vinnuna.

Eggert, don't forget that Bangla Desh is an Islamic state like Pakistan and human lives there are cheap, especially the lives of poor children. This, of course, applies equally to parts of India and other countries in the region (Southern Asia). Bangla Desh is known for acid attacks against women, for which no-one is ever punished.

Like I said in my previous comment, I hope for a harsh punishment, but I wouldn't hold my breath, as sharia laws are practised throughout Bangla Desh. But a fitting punishment for these vile monsters would be to cut off both arms at the shoulder, cut of both legs entirely and then throw into the gutter for the dogs to eat alive. That would be justice.
